Medical pot bust in Washtenaw County uncovers growing operation

Police in Washtenaw County arrested a medical marijuana card holder after investigators say they found a growing operation and more than his share of the drug at a home in Pittsfield Township Sunday.

 

Pittsfield Township Police arrested the 28-year-old man in the 4100 block of Chester Drive at about 6:30 p.m., according to a release issued by the department.

After receiving a complaint, investigators got a warrant and discovered 36 plants and more usable marijuana in the home. The man, who showed up during the raid, has a medical marijuana card and a license to carry a concealed weapon, according to police.

They also found two pistols during the search.

The man’s arraignment is pending, and the investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to call Pittsfield Township Police at 734-822-4911.
