Despite all of your hysteria over dispensaries, collectives, marijuana grow systems and marijuana and claims that the People didn’t get what they bargained for and/or that the law is being abused or that the voters would vote differently if they could turn back the clock, PAY ATTENTION — STOP ACTING SELFISHLY — STOP PANDERING TO YOUR OWN WORST FEARS AND THOSE:
Michigan voters STILL support the state’s medical marijuana law by nearly the same margin by which it was adopted in the 2008 election, according to a poll released Tuesday by the Marijuana Policy Project.
The poll, paid for by a medical marijuana patient advocate and conducted by Marketing Resource Group of Lansing, found that 61% of voters said they would vote yes again. Proposal 1 of 2008, legalizing the possession and use of marijuana for medical reasons, won with 62.6% of the vote.
Thirty-seven percent of those surveyed said they would vote no today.
A spokeswoman for the Marijuana Policy Project, which organized and helped finance the ballot proposal, said the poll “proves that a strong majority of Michigan voters stand firmly behind the compassionate medical marijuana law they enacted two years ago.”
The MRG telephone poll of 600 likely voters was conducted Jan. 24-27 and had a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
I am not making this up.
